Track 2 and Track 3 Instructor Led Portion has a minimal fee for the two-day class which includes a final exam, certification and graduation ceremony at the Annual Spring Conference. The Instructor Led portion is required to complete the trainings. The Pennsylvania Innovative Leadership Development Program aims to effectively train leaders and managers to proficiently guide transit agencies into the future. In a climate where public funding becomes increasingly scarce, it is important to have in place effective leaders and managers who balance available funding and actively seek ways to improve their transit system. Our new training program offers online training and instructor-led training in three tracks: COMPLETE TRACKS 1, 2 AND 3 TO BE A TRANSITSCORE GRADUATE AND CERTIFIED TO TRAIN COMPLETE TRACK 1 & 2 TO BE A PSP GRADUATE TRACK 1 – CORE TRAINING ONLINE TRAINING This is a pre-requisite course for other tracks but a great core training for all employees. The online program includes Communication Skills 101, Customer Service 101, and an introduction to the transit industry, Transit 101 and more. Communication Skills 101 Communication Skills 101 Introduction Communication Essentials The Effective Communicator Customer Service 101 Customer Service 101 Introduction Customer Service Overview Passenger Sensitivity and Disability Awareness Passenger Assistance Stress Management and Conflict Avoidance Difficult Customer Service Situations Transit 101 Transit 101 Introduction Public Transit Programs Transit Funding, Regulations and Standards The Dispatcher and Scheduler Safety and Security TRACK 2 – PROFESSIONAL SUPERVISOR/MANAGER TRAINING ONLINE TRAINING AND INSTRUCTOR LED TRAINING An online and instructor-led training designed for supervisors and managers. Topics include supervisory skills, managing employees, conflict resolution, performance measurement processes, and more. (Track 1 must be successfully completed prior to enrollment in Track 2.
